Apparently you somehow found your way to this blog; and I’m glad to have you as a follower. When traveling alone it’s nice to know that this way I can at least share some elements of the experiences I make on my tours. If you have any questions, just drop me a line. And if you’re interested, follow this blog by mail (see right column), check my Facebook page or my Instagram feed
I did my first bike holiday aged sixteen together with a friend. Then for years I was busy with other outdoor activities. I guess my touring really took of as one of my favourite things to do when I was in Montreal for half a year and decided to ride a couple of days through Ontario in fall-break instead of going drinking on Cuba (might have been fun, too). Since then my touring changed a lot: longer distances, more mental experience, better equipment, etc… But the basic fascination remained the same: Independence and (as “big” as it may sound) a different take on our planet and my position on it (check the approach-section, in case you want to hear more).
With only one exception (my trip through Japan with Jon, who was the ideal touring match, btw!) I travel solo. There are many reasons for (and also against) it. I might tackle the issue in one of my posts some time.
If you’d like to get in touch with me, have questions or remarks, please fill in my contact form or get in touch via social media (see above). I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. Looking forward to hearing from you and receive feedback of any kind!
